LinkedIn App Privacy Policy
1. Purpose & Scope
Our WordPress plugin connects with LinkedIn via a single LinkedIn login to access public and business-related content through the LinkedIn API. The primary purpose is to enable users to create professional content feeds—such as company updates, job posts, and shared content—and embed them on their own websites.
2. Information Collection and Storage
-
We do not collect, store, or share your LinkedIn login credentials, personal messages, or sensitive account data.
-
Your LinkedIn Access Token is stored only in your website’s database and is used exclusively to fetch content via the LinkedIn API.
-
To optimize performance, raw responses from the LinkedIn API may be temporarily cached in your database and then rendered as HTML when pages load.
-
We do not gather data about your site visitors or any unrelated personal information.
3. What API Data is Processed
To enable full functionality, our app may request the following permissions from LinkedIn:
-
Basic profile information such as name and profile picture.
-
Access to LinkedIn Company Pages you manage.
-
Retrieval of posts, articles, and job listings from company pages.
-
Basic metrics such as impressions and reactions, when available for business pages.
4. Information Displayed
When embedding LinkedIn content, the following information may be displayed:
-
Post titles or text
-
Author or company name
-
Profile or organization logo
-
Publish date
-
Links to the original LinkedIn post or page
-
Public engagement metrics such as likes or comments
5. Read-Only Access
Our app is strictly read-only. It cannot publish, edit, delete, or comment on LinkedIn posts. It exclusively displays publicly available content and does not perform any actions on LinkedIn on your behalf.
6. Removal of Stored Data
-
We do not store your data on external servers; all data remains within your own website.
-
The LinkedIn Access Token is stored in your site’s database and used only to fetch content for caching.
-
If you uninstall the plugin or disconnect the integration, the token and cached content are deleted, subject to your plugin settings.
-
To completely revoke access, you can remove the integration from your LinkedIn account under Settings & Privacy → Data Privacy → Third-Party Applications.
7. Cookies
We do not use cookies to store visitor data or for any other functions.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update this page and notify users through appropriate means. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
