TikTok App Privacy Policy

1. Purpose & Scope

Our WordPress plugin connects with TikTok through the official TikTok API. Its purpose is to allow users to create content feeds from TikTok connected accounts or hashtags and embed them on their own websites, enhancing visibility and engagement with TikTok content.

2. Information Collection and Storage

We do not collect, store, or share your TikTok login credentials, personal messages, or sensitive account data.
Your TikTok Access Token is stored only in your website’s database and is used exclusively to fetch content through the TikTok API.
To improve performance, raw responses from the TikTok API may be temporarily cached in your database and then rendered as HTML when pages load.
We do not collect information about your site visitors or any unrelated personal data.

3. What API Data is Processed

To enable full functionality, our app may request the following permissions from TikTok:

Basic profile information such as username and profile picture.
Access to your TikTok videos, including captions, thumbnails, and metadata.
Video statistics such as views, likes, comments, and shares, if available.
Public account insights to support engagement reporting.

4. Information Displayed

When embedding TikTok content, the following information may be displayed:

Video captions or descriptions
Username or profile name
Profile picture or logo
Video thumbnails or previews
Publish date
Public engagement statistics such as likes, comments, or shares

5. Read-Only Access

Our app is strictly read-only. It cannot publish, edit, delete, or comment on TikTok videos. It exclusively displays publicly available content and does not perform any actions on TikTok on your behalf.

6. Removal of Stored Data

We do not store your data on external servers; all data remains within your own website.
The TikTok Access Token is stored in your site’s database and is used only to fetch content for caching.
If you uninstall the plugin or disconnect the integration, the token and cached content are deleted, subject to your plugin settings.
To completely revoke access, you can remove the integration from your TikTok account under Settings → Privacy → Manage App Permissions.

7. Cookies

We do not use cookies to store visitor data or for any other functions.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update this page and notify users through appropriate means. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
